TEXT SCRAMBLER
This script randomly scrambles all the words on a web page after a pre-set delay (which you could set to, say, 10 minutes so that if someone is still hanging around reading your stuff it suddenly goes all wierd on them). It would be silly to show you this effect on this particular page as you wouldn't be able to read it but to show you how it works, you can see the effect in action on my F.A.Q. page
xml compliantThis script has been tested on and shown to work with the following browsers:
  • Internet Explorer version 5 and above
  • Google Chrome version 1 and above
  • Mozilla Firefox version 1 and above
  • Apple Safari version 3 and above
  • Opera version 7 and above (including Opera mobile)
  • Android Browser version 1 and above
05-Sep-2012: Improvements made to try and make the scrambled text more readable (even sillier).
29-Sep-2005: First release.
STEP 1: Copy and paste the code below so that it sits between the <head> and </head> tags at the top of your web-page:

CLICK HERE to select the above script ready to paste it into your clipboard
STEP 2: Change the delay before the script executes and also the colour that each letter is highlighted as it changes by modifying the values of the variables at the start of the script.
THAT'S IT When your page loads, it should begin to get scrambled into pure nonsense.
